Jade
Name: Jade Cooper
Age: 34
Race: human
Story: [Hounds]
Personality:
Bright, no-nonsense, and focused, with a dogged determination that's served her well in both careers. Works hard and is a little too hard on herself, willing to work herself to the bone in pursuit of a cause. A stubborn sense of justice, and a frustration at seeing justice perverted or denied; always ready to jump into a fight, especially in protection of others.
Since her assault, her natural fearlessness has taken a blow. Jade hates her newfound moments of fear or of vulnerability, and tends to turn those feelings inward as self-directed anger. It can make her more closed off from others and sometimes impulsively angry at moments when she needs to be calm.
Backstory:
Coming from a comfortable background, Jade's quick mind and determination had her on a course as a rising star at a law firm. A break-in and sexual assault by a complete stranger changed everything; the court's failure to convict her rapist left her with little faith left in the system and deeply angry at the injustice of what happened to her. A year later, she was sought out by a former associate who offered her something she'd never expected: the chance to serve Eihel, a goddess of justice, and power to help right what wrongs she could.
Martin, her many-times-over-great-great-grandfather, came abruptly into her life as a semi-immortal partner; a servant of the god of time, and a natural counterpart to her role as a servant of the goddess of justice. Though she'd swear he lives to be lovingly annoying, the two have come to be strong friends and partners in their pursuits.
With Other Characters:
Martin: partners in combat, Martin is her family and provides an (annoying) point of stability she can depend on.
Additional Notes:
- always in modern clothing, favoring practical, non-revealing outfits
- her weapon is a knife made out of a railroad spike; unworked hilt is still dull metal
