Anriel
Name: Anriel
Age: immortal (appears mid-late thirties)
Race: guardian angel
Story: [Heavensfar]
Personality:
Sad and serious, filled with regret and guilt. Seeks forgiveness, but sees himself as tainted and isn't sure he deserves to return to Heaven. Still acts as a guardian when he's needed. Over the years he's become much more human in terms of expressing emotion.
Backstory:
A guardian angel, Anriel was sent to earth to watch over Will, the younger son of a wealthy merchant family. However, despite his best efforts Anriel could only watch his charge sink deeper and deeper into sin and vice; in the end, when Will was about to murder his own brother out of jealousy over the woman they both loved, Anriel intervened and killed his charge rather than see him eternally damned.
In the years since then he's lived on earth in a self-imposed exile, refusing to allow himself a return to heaven until he can atone for his own sins. Most recently he's found himself caught in a dangerous fight with a rogue angel of judgement.
With Other Characters:
Judgement: Judgement is hunting Anriel; eventually, however, things will come to a head in open combat
Additional Notes:
- can be drawn as a human, as a human with halo and wings, or in full guardian form
- halo is shattered
- 'bracer' tattoos on both forearms, faintly luminous
- his clothing isn't quite real; seams disappear abruptly, it holds itself together without buttons, etc.
- clothing has very faintly visible angelic script that moves through the fabric, NOT a necessary detail
